NEWS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE    * 4 Wheel off road vehicle purchase approvedBoard of Directors approved purchase of new Brush Fire Fighting vehicle.January 17, 2006 -- Elsanor Fire Rescue Department is proud to announce that we have approved the purchase of a new 4 wheel off road brush fire fighting vehicle. This vehicle will be used to replace the Honda Foreman four wheeler 4X4 that the fire dept currently uses for off road brush fire fighting. The new vehicle is a lot safer in as much as it has a bench seat for 2 occupants with a regular steering wheel for control. It also has a dump body capable of carrying 50 + gallons of water. The vehicle can also be used to transport an injured person via a backboard strapped across the back or front of the vehicle. The 4 wheel drive Honda Foreman was sold to offset the expense of the new vehicle. The cost of the new vehicle is $5000.00 and the Fire Dept. was asking $3000.00 for the 4 wheel drive Honda Foreman. The Honda Foreman was in excellent shape and sold within a week of having it posted up at Mike's Cycle Shop in Robertsdale!. For More Information Contact: |
