Hi boys and girls, (and you too parents!) The Elsanor Fire and rescue Department was proud to demonstrate the Baldwin county Fire Chiefs Association Smoke House! On Thursday November 10th 2005 the Smoke House was setup at the Elsanor School for demonstration for the students of the school, and any teachers who wanted to attend also! We had some of our Fire Trucks there and we showed the students what a Fire Fighter looks like in full turnout gear (Bunker Gear). Some of the children had have never seen a Fire Fighter in all of his fire fighting gear, and having them become familiar with our appearance in our gear might help them to not be frightened if we ever have to respond to a scene where they may be present! Anyway......... Support your local firefighters and come visit your community fire station anytime you see a firefighter at the station! Any of our fire fighters will be happy to give you a quick tour of what we have to supply protection for our community, and who knows.... maybe you might like to join the fire dept! GREAT ! We need anyone who can spare a little of their time and become a volunteer Fire Fighter!
