The Elsanor Fire / Rescue Department voted last year to replace the current rescue vehicle with a new Rescue truck that is designed for rescue and not for transport like the old rescue truck was. Station 53 (Elsanor Fire/Rescue Dept.) does not transport patients to hospitals. We however do provide for all types of rescue services and as such we needed a vehicle that was designed for a multitude of emergencies with extra room to expand our emergency response capability. We received the new Rescue Truck on Thursday, February 7th 2008. Within a couple of minutes of stocking the gear from the old rescue to the new rescue we received an emergency call requiring our emergency services. The new rescue unit was on scene within minutes and provided valuable resources, proving it's value to our station and the Elsanor community. Thanks for your support!!
